Everyone loves the smell of freshly baked bread! This course is for anyone who loves real bread or for those who have had a go and it’s never worked! Make an array of freshly baked breads to take home which could include:
We are delighted to announce that the classes from March onwards will be led by Patrick Crabtree. A note from Patrick:
“I began making bread at home in my mid-twenties (over half a lifetime ago!). In 2008 I opened my own artisan bakery in Hull, supplying fresh, properly made breads to the local community. Breadmaking is an ancient and beautiful craft, an invaluable life skill to pass down the generations. From my own journey I recognised how I would have benefited hugely from having had a mentor, and so in 2011 I began to deliver artisan breadmaking courses from my little bakery. I feel very privileged to have been asked by The Wolds Cookery School to carry on this lovely tradition with them.”
On Patrick’s course you’ll be using two different traditional breadmaking methods to raise, shape and bake to perfection a brace of farmhouse tin loaves, a malted brown cob, a tray of batched rolls and a focaccia.
Class includes a light lunch.
