French cookery has long been acclaimed as the basis of all cuisine. Join Jono as he guides you through a three course meal using the best traditional French techniques.

Class details

With Jono’s guidance you will prepare a three course meal using classic French techniques.  Some dishes will possibly be your lunch, leaving the rest for you to enjoy at home.  The menu will be as follows:



  • Fromage Fort, a traditional cheese spread made from cheese, white wine, garlic and herbs


  • Moules Mariniere, mussels steamed open with white wine, shallots, parsley and butter

Main Courses

  • Filet Mignon au Poivre, a filet steak coated in coarse black peppercorns and seared in butter and served with a peppercorn sauce of reduced cognac and cream
  • Dauphinoise Potatoes – demonstrated by Jono


  • Crepe Suzette, the most famous French desert consisting of crepes with beurre Suzette, a sauce of caramelised sugar and butter, tangerine juice and Grand Marnier
