Yorkshire farmers daughter Steph , began cooking at the Dorchester hotel in London working for the first TV chef of the time Anton Mossimann, little did she know then she would then take part in three  consecutive series of BBC’s Great British Menu herself!

Steph has cooked for many famous people and travelled the world working in numerous five star hotels cooking for The Queen, Bishop Desmund Tutu and even Mr Bean!

Steph is a regular on the Yorkshire food scene and now has her own You Tube Channel and in this she promotes food from Yorkshire and beyond why not take a look at Google Stephanie Moon to see her in action.

Menu

Starter

  • Mackerel salad with Japanese dressing, baked anise beetroots, and crispy seaside crackers

Learn to fillet your own mackerel

Main Course

  • Venison Loin marinated in Liquorice with Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School  Garden herbs.
  • Dukkha Venison shoulder
  • Yorkshire Blue Potatoes, Spinach Puree and Damson Jelly

Steph takes you through the skill of marinading meats and making these sticky unctuous gratin potatoes, the venison shoulder is slow cooked and the loin served pink.

Pud – An Orchard Plate

  • Pear Roulade with crispy hazelnuts, apple jelly with golden raisins
  • Baby toffee apples
  • Blackberry dark chocolate mousse with caramelised white chocolate

These three mini desserts are bursting with flavours of Autumn.
