Enrolment Fees for all courses are payable in full, in advance

Cancellation & Refund Policy (For Duke of Edinburgh Classes please see section below)

Our cancellation policy is designed to give customers the freedom to change a course booking with minimal penalty when enough notice is given.  However we have some conditions around short notice cancellations which have an impact on other customers and our business. We will always try and help wherever possible, but please familiarise yourself with our terms of cancellation below.

Most bookings for courses at the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School are made months in advance. It is therefore often hard for us to resell any places within 28 days of the start of the course date.

If cancelled more than 28 days before the date of course, payments and vouchers will be refunded less a £15.00 administration fee.

If cancelled within 28 days of the date of course, payments and vouchers are non-refundable.  However we will endeavour to fill your place and if so fees will be returned less £15.00 administration fee.  If we are unable to resell your place in the time remaining, you will forfeit any course fees associated with your booking.

If a person that is booked on a course fails to attend for any reason without notice, they would not be entitled to a refund or a re-booking of another course.

Note: We recommend that all customers have a suitable travel insurance policy in place that can provide cover for common issues such as ill health, bereavement or travel disruption

Cancellation of Course by Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School

Please note we do require a minimum attendance on all courses and sadly may have to cancel if the appropriate number is not reached.  In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a course we will endeavour to offer you a suitable alternative. If this is not possible you will be entitled to a full refund.

Transfer of Booking

(For Duke of Edinburgh Classes please see section below)

Requests to transfer to alternative courses are subject to availability. If places are not available on an alternative course, then you have the option to either retain your existing place, or cancel it, in which case our cancellations and refunds policy detailed above will apply.

Health and Safety

There is no smoking anywhere inside the buildings. We recommend that visitors wear appropriate clothing, low-heeled and no-scuff shoes (not open toed) in the kitchen.

Property

Any property including vehicles, belonging to students are brought to the ‘Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School’ at student’s own risk and the proprietors accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to the property of any students, nor do they accept any liability for any
personal injury to any student.

Standards

Students are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the highest standards during their course and the proprietors reserve the right to order any student to leave without reimbursement of fees if the student does not observe such standards and any regulations of Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School or is guilty of unreasonable or improper conduct.

Miscellaneous

Fees and dates are quoted as at the time of going to press. We reserve the right to make alterations as and where relevant. You will be notified immediately of any changes.

Alterations

The Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School reserves the right under unavoidable circumstances, to alter the timing or content of any course or of the curriculum and to substitute any teacher or instructor.

Cancellations

More than 40 days notice – course fees will be returned in full subject to an administration fee of £100.00 Less than 40 days notice – ALL course fees will be retained unless we are able to fill your place. If we are able to reallocate your place course fees will be returned in full subject to an administration fee of £100.00. Less than seven days – no refund will be offered.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a course we will endeavour to offer you a suitable alternative. If this is not possible you will be entitled to a full refund. Please note we do require a minimum attendance on all courses and sadly may have to cancel if the appropriate number is not reached.

Transfer of Booking

More than 40 days notice – acceptable subject to an administration fee of £10.00 Less than 40 days notice – £10.00 fee if we are able to fill your original place, £100.00 if we are unable to reallocate your place.
