Luxury Accommodation in the heart of the Wolds

Converted from the former farmstead Highfield Farm, Wold Escapes boasts an award winning cookery school, nine luxury bed & breakfast rooms, five glamping cabins, two private dining rooms and conference facilities. Surrounded by private farmland you are assured a peaceful stay in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, an area which inspired many of David Hockey’s famous landscape paintings. Guests have access to our private footpaths which run through the farm taking in the landscape including the rare and picturesque chalk stream, home to local wildlife including kingfishers, herons and water voles.
The country lanes and big Wold skies are perfect if you enjoy cycling, situated on the Way of the Roses cycling route we offer secure undercover bike storage with electric charging facilities should you need them.

Develop and enhance your skills at Wold Escapes. Home to the award winning Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School, which offers a variety of cookery courses where you can learn new skills as part of a small intimate group. We also offer bespoke cookery classes tailored to your specific group’s requirements, be it with friends or as part of a team building exercise.
Alongside the cookery school we run a variety of workshops including wildlife and photography and Duke of Edinburgh gold award residential courses. Look out for our talks and demonstrations from artisan craftspeople.
Our private dining rooms are available to hire for events and parties, and bespoke packages are available for all occasions including private dinners, birthdays, baby showers or hen parties.

The Flemingate Shopping Centre, which is also packed with leisure options, and has dramatically transformed an area in the town once known for its tannery.

Tophill Low Nature Reserve

The reserve is an active Yorkshire Water Treatment Works supplying Hull from two huge reservoirs protected for wildfowl. Bird hides look over 300 acres of surrounding woodland, wetland and grassland flanking the River Hull that have recorded 270 bird species since 1959.
